Do you need something to do this weekend? Well, Mangum is the place to be. Saturday you can find a real bargain at any of the many sales in the Mangum City Wide Garage Sale, look at classic cars in the car show and get some home-grown vegetables at the Farmers Market around the square.

In this week’s edition of the Mangum Star-News you can find a complete list of the various garage sales around town and to make it easier on your car, we have even included a map with each location marked.

At 9 a.m. the Antique and Classic Car Show gets underway on the Courthouse lawn. There are cars of all makes and models, and you’re sure to find one that you like. Registration is from 9 until noon. The people can vote for their favorite from noon until 1 p.m. The awards will be given out at 2:00 with 1st and 2nd place prizes in each category, a Best of Show award and a special award given to the person who drove their car the longest distance. There is no charge to enter a vehicle and each participant will receive a free dashboard plaque.

There will be classes for antiques, classics, street rods, Mustangs, pickups, motorcycles, unfinished Corvettes, mini pickups and more.
