Six of our area soldiers were on hand for the welcoming ceremony Saturday evening. Pictured are Hunter Polk, Ryan Rodriquez, Tim Wiggins, Joe Rivera, Jr., Brandon Rogers and Eric Gambill.
Six of the soldiers rode the old fire truck from the high school to downtown Mangum where they were greeted by people waving American flags and yellow ribbons.
The soldiers stepped off the truck and were immediately surrounded by people who proudly shook their hands and said a simple “thank you” for their service.
