Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends to get together and reflect on the many blessings from this past year. Many use that time to make their plans for the following day as stores everywhere officially open the Christmas shopping season, offering bargains galore for shoppers.

Folks around Mangum also make plans to come to the annual Hometown Christmas in Downtown Mangum. Businesses will be open late Friday offering good deals for Christmas.
