New years Eve brought more snow to the area as seen in the attached photo. This time it was just falling snow and not the blizzard like conditions of last week.

Well, if you were dreaming of a white Christmas you got your wish last week when a massive snow storm dumped around 4.5” of snow on our area.

It was a dream for some, but it became a nightmare for anyone needing to do any type of traveling. Though we just got about 1/4” of moisture from the storm, high winds of up to near 40 miles per hour caused almost white-out conditions and the area saw snow drifts that measured anywhere from one foot deep to some drifts that covered the top of fences.

The problems came not just from the snow but also from freezing rain that preceded the snow.

With the unpredictable weather in Oklahoma we are providing the following numbers that you might clip and save. These are the phone numbers you can use to get up-to-date roads conditions for Oklahoma and the surrounding states:

Oklahoma- 888-425-2385

Arkansas- 800-245-1672

Colorado-303-639-1111

Kansas-866-511-5368

Missouri-800-222-6400

New Mexico -800-432-4269

Texas - 800-452-9292
