Coaches Vs. Cancer Game Has Special Meaning for Mangum Coach

Last season was the first time that Oklahoma High Schools were involved in the Coaches vs. Cancer game that raises funds for the American Cancer Society. Mangum and Granite met on that night and Mangum alone raised over $1,300 for the cause.

This year Mangum will again raise funds to fight cancer, but for Mangum boy’s basketball coach, Jeff Carlisle, the game carries extra meaning. November 6, 2009 Jeff’s mother, Vickie Kenney lost her courageous battle with cancer.
