I am sure that everyone has been watching the weather that is coming our way on Thursday. The National Weather Service in Norman has issued A Winter Storm Watch for Thursday. This means that there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations. They are expecting the precipitation to begin later Wednesday night and continue through Thursday.

Now is the time to make sure that you have plenty of food, water and medications to last through the week. If we have a lot of freezing rain, there is the possibility that power lines could break which would result in power outages.

We can always hope that it won’t be as bad as the last storm, but we should always be prepared.

A really good website to consult is www.srh.noaa.gov/oun/enhanced.php. Keep in mind that the television stations from Oklahoma City will be giving forecasts for Oklahoma City.
