It’s Playoff Time in Oklahoma. Classes A and B began last week with the district tournament.

Class 2A begins this week with games on Friday and Saturday night.

The Tigers will be hosting Hobart in the District Tournament this year. The games will begin at 6:30 Saturday night with the Mangum Lady Tigers facing the Hobart Lady Bearcats. The Lady Tigers are 12-10 so far this season and the Lady Bearcats are 6-11. The last time these two teams met was in the Tri-County Tournament where Mangum won on a last second 3-point basket by Hollie Hand.

The Tigers moved up to #12 in spite of losing two game last week and have an 18-4 record as they begin the playoffs. They will face the 0-14 Bearcats for the District Championship with the game to begin shortly after the girl’s game.

Win or lose both teams will advance to the Regional Tournament the next week. The first round of the Regional Tournament will be played at Altus High School with the remainder of the tournament to be played at Cache. The Area Tournament will be played at SWOSU at Weatherford, with the State Tournament the following week.
