Donna Bull- Candidate for County Treasurer
By the time you read this article the Primary Election will be less than one week away. Voters in Greer County will have not only State and Federal candidates from which to choose they will also be voting in one countywide election and voters in Districts 1 and 3 will have a full slate of candidates ready to fill the shoes of two retiring County Commissioners- Roger Lively in District #3 and Danny Holt in District #1.

All county voters will be selecting the new Greer County Treasurer. Seeking the Treasurers position are Donna Bull and Cheryl Logsdon.

In District #1 the Democratic candidates are Tom Clark, Bert Dyer, Bobby Giddens and Brent York. Voters will select one of these men to face Independent candidate Brad Wetsel in the general election in November. If none of the four Democrat candidates receives over 50% of the vote there will be a runoff between the two top candidates on August 24.

District #3 has three men seeking the office: Randy DeRusha, Steven Fite and Tommy Francis. Again, if none of these three men receive over 50% of the vote the two top candidates will face off in the runoff with the winner of that race being the new District #3 Commissioner.

The full story is available in this week’s edition of the Mangum Star-News.
