July Sales Tax Receipts Up 12.99% in County

Sales Tax Receipts are slowly moving up according to the July Sales Tax Distribution Report recently released by the Oklahoma Tax commission. Sales Tax distribution to the various entities in Oklahoma was up over $3million from the same period the pervious year. All four entities in Greer County saw gains from the same period last year. The July distribution is based primarily on taxable sales made during the month of May.

Greer County as a whole saw an increase of $12,401.29 over the July 2009 totals. The $12,347.29 increase is 12.99% higher than last year.

Mangum was up 8.91%, Greer County had an increase of 14.44% and Granite’s increase was $2,692.78, up over 30% from last year.
